Who We Are

Straight talk. Senior attention on every engagement.

We’ve been doing this for over 40 years …and we still pick up the phone.

Moody Capital was founded by Tim Moody more than four decades ago on a simple idea: Companies raising capital deserve direct access to the people actually making the decisions. Moody emphasizes continuity and senior involvement, not being pushed toward whatever product happens to be easiest to sell that quarter.

We’re still built that way. Every client works directly with senior management—including our President and CEO—on every transaction, from the first conversation through closing.

We’ll tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.

As an independent broker-dealer, we seek to provide advice based on each client’s objectives and available alternatives, shaped by what actually works for your business. We’ll walk you through available options and material risks, and we ask the hard questions other bankers skip because they’re afraid of losing the mandate.

That independence sometimes means a transaction takes a little longer than it would with a firm that’s just trying to move fast and move on. We think that trade-off is worth it: Our clients tend to come out the other side with investors that are aligned with their objectives. And they tend to stick with us.

A full-service partner in rights offerings and capital markets partner.

Moody Capital is recognized for our expertise in the revival and modernization rights offering as a capital raising tool. We also bring that same depth to the full range of capital markets and M&A solutions for companies from seed stage through growth and public listing.

Our senior team has closed hundreds of millions of dollars in financing and M&A transactions at leading capital markets firms. Today, we choose to bring that experience to a firm where clients still get senior-level attention on day one, not after they’ve “graduated” to a bigger banker.

Work with us.

We work best with companies that think strategically about their capital structure—leaders who’d rather do the harder, smarter deal than the fast, easy one. If that’s you, we’d like to talk.

Our senior bankers have worked at some of the leading large-cap and small-cap investment banks in the U.S. prior to joining Moody Capital, including:
